This last Memorial day the Fillmore family and us decided to go on a day trip. We packed up the car and headed up to Strawberry Resivoir. We packed everything for a day full of fishing, swimming, fire and s'mores, and game playing. After a two hour drive we got out of the car to realize it felt like -30 degrees. Way to go us.
We hoped back in the car ( much to all 8 kids dismay) and headed back down to Heber. We had a picnic in the city park, played baseball and got ice cream and Dairy Keen.
The best orange sherbert vanilla swirl. EVER.
Before calling it quits for the day we headed to Vivian park and did a little fishing. Nobody caught a fish, but I almost got my ear snagged on a hook more than once.
I am so grateful for such a fun day, spent with some of my most favorite people in this world. Family is what it is all about.
